DAVID CAMPESE RUGBY ACADEMY HONG KONG

About the Academy: Rugby Legend, David Campese’s International coaching experience spans the continents of Africa, Oceania and Asia. But having travelled the World playing and coaching, Hong Kong still remains one of his favourite Rugby destinations. Having thrilled the crowds at the HK7s for many years, he will now launch the David Campese Rugby Academy in HK in April.

Who is it targeted at? Players from U8 to U16. It is during these years that youngsters are the most keen to learn and can absorb and master the basics of the game, which builds a solid foundation for a successful rugby career.

How is it different or what is the philosophy?  David's approach to coaching rugby is based on his personal ethos. Which enabled him to achieve 100 caps and become the first player to reach the World record of 64 tries in test matches. This Academy will give children the opportunity to understand the importance of mastering the basic skills of the game whilst playing as part of a team. Instilling in each the importance of discipline in practicing and perfecting the basics of the game. Players will learn that this is the key to achieving the highest standards for themselves as a Rugby Player.

The course will run over a four day period with each age group session comprising of 1.5 hours. The program offers age appropriate skills and requirements and encourages players to ask questions and gain as much knowledge as possible. David will be conducting each session himself with emphasis that the kids should also have fun and enjoy themselves, as well as learning directly from one of the Greatest Rugby Players to play the game.

COST PER COURSE: HK$1,650 (Max 30 per group)
